Grant Aims To Help Oregon Growers Sell To Schools
The Oregon Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for a new round of Farm to School equipment and infrastructure grants.
The program will provide $210,000 in funding during the 2025–2027 biennium to help Oregon farmers, ranchers, seafood harvesters, fishermen, and processors expand or begin selling to schools and other eligible meal programs. Individual awards will range from $10,000-$50,000, and projects must increase production or processing capacity to meet school marketplace demand.
Grant funds may be used for equipment such as grading, packing, refrigeration, processing improvements, renewable energy systems, and food safety certification costs.
Applications are due March 31st by 5 p.m. PT. Proposals will be reviewed in April, with awards announced in May.
Eligible applicants include those planning to sell to school districts participating in the National School Lunch Program, Child and Adult Care Food Program sites, Summer Food Service Program providers, and Tribal schools and youth meal programs.
