While many of our winter wheat growers are in the middle of harvest, there are still several weeks to go for those that grow spring wheat.  For those growers, it’s important to not forget about those mid- and late-season treatments.  To help there’s Nutrien Ag Solutions, which may be a new name for some growers across the PNW.

“Dyna-Gro is a 40 year old trusted brand, been in the industry for a long time, servicing 10 different crops across North America," said Todd Pester is Senior Manager for North America Seeds at Nutrient Ag Solutions.  "So anything from your wheats in Canada forages, canola, and working our way on down right, obviously wheat and canola in the U.S., but corn and soybean is probably our mainstay. And then as you move further South, cotton, rice, sorghum, sunflower.”

We Focus On Many Crops Key To The Northwest

Pester said there are a variety of ways Nutrient Ag Solutions can help address the needs and concerns of Northwest growers

“We have a new breeding program based out of Bozeman, MT, where we're selecting for those hard red winters, hard red whites and also some of those soft whites for that region," Pester said.  "We're a relatively new entrant, so we don't have a lot of new products with our Dyna-Gro brand that are coming through our germplasm base but we do a lot of in licensing, so we have a full lineup of Dyna-Gro wheat across North America including the Pacific Northwest.”

With this year being so dry, impacting both spring and winter wheat, Pester said they can help address disease and pest pressures.

“But then that nutrient management plan maybe in season inputs to help manage disease incidents and those types of things are very important.  And we're a full-service Ag retailer. So, we can help you with every step of the way.”
