Grape Growers Encouraged To Participate In Surveys

Grape growers across Washington are being encouraged to participate in a host of surveys, to determine what issues may be facing the industry now and into the future.  Washington State University’s Michelle Moyer said the goal of these surveys, is to get a baseline for the region.

"Our Mycorrhizal Inoculant Survey, we have folks using that in vineyards, and we have some surveys on powdery mildew resistance, we’re just trying to figure out how many vineyards my have mildew resistance to powdery mildew, with have surveys on grapevine Crown Gall, trying to figure out where that is and potentially how bad it is in the state, and then we have some surveys on Leaffolders.”

Moyer said they are trying to get a handle on the scope of these relatively new struggles and problems in the Washington grape industry.  Click Here to participate in the surveys.
