Fraudulent Organic Certificates Concerns USDA

The USDA’s National Organic Program has released a list of 11 fraudulent organic certificates that they have found in the marketplace.

The certificates indicate that the ag products they are on are certified organic when they are not, which is illegal.

The posting of these certificates does not mean the operator was involved in fraud, but rather could have not known the certificates were fraudulent.

Eleven fraudulent organic certificates listing the following businesses are in use and have recently been reported to the NOP:

• Hambsch Family Vineyards, LLC
• Gulda Afro Group Sanayi Ticaret Wix
• Wayne Food Co Ltd
• Dong Duong Export Company Limited
• Pichuberry LLC
• Shad Enterprises
• Campo Agricola Agua Azul
• BioOrganic CIA LTDA
• Societe Aparma Sarl
