
Food Security Shows Little Change Between 2022-2023
USDA's annual look at household food security in our nation reveals that in 2023, food insecurity among American households increased from 12.8% to 13.5%.
“Very low food security, a more severe form of food insecurity, was unchanged," noted economic researcher Matthew Rabbit.
Reported at 5.1% of US households for the latest household food security in the US study. When it comes to households with children:
“For changes between 2022 and 2023, we are not seeing any changes in child food insecurity at all. Between 2022 and 2023.”
