Dairy Farmers of Washington Disturbed by Claims of Whatcom County Abuse
Snookbroom Farms in Whatcom County is being investigated by the Whatcom County Humane Society for conditions below well below industry standards.
In a statement, the Dairy Farmers of Washington said they are, “outraged and heartsick by the alleged animal cruelty case.”
The farm is accused of leaving animals in starving conditions and in amongst deceased animals.
Michelle Schilter, DFW Board Chair and Chehalis dairy farmer, said they take claims of animal abuse seriously and that the Washington dairy community, “never tolerates animal abuse and we fully support this investigation.”
The matter has been referred to the Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney.
