Dairy producers across the Northwest could be under one banner when it comes to promotions and representation by the start of the New Year.  Steve Seppi, the new CEO of Dairy West says the Dairy Farmers of Washington and the Oregon Dairy Council have both voted to move toward developing an agreement to partner with Dairy West.

“They are on a similar timeline and timeframe. So we are working through integration right now," Seppi said.  "And the plan is, that we will have everything in order to be a four state region by January of 2026. So they are both supportive of moving forward in that partnership. Ultimately, those agreements are being developed with those boards right now.”

Seppi added Oregon and Washington are now reviewing the agreement and making sure all of the Ts are crossed and Is dotted.

“While both the Washington and Oregon boards have voted in the affirmative with moving forward to draft an agreement, it's not finalized until, you know, until obviously they sign those agreements and we move forward. So, you know, again, I'm very optimistic about it.," Seppi said.
