Coos, Curry Counties Receive Drought Designation

This week, the USDA designated Coos and Curry counties in Oregon as drought disasters. The designation allows the FSA to extend emergency credit to producers through emergency loans. Those loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation or the refinance of certain debts. Neighboring counties, which includes Douglas and Josephine, may also be eligible for help.
