Landowners with existing Conservation Reserve Program contracts now have another opportunity to expand their conservation efforts.

"We're expanding the clean lakes estuaries and rivers 30 year contracts pilot to be nationwide," noted FSA Administrator, Zach Ducheneaux.

He added CLEAR30 is a water-quality focused option available though CRP via the 2018 Farm Bill. And until its recently announced expansion, available in pilot form in the Great Lakes and Chesapeake Bay watershed. CLEAR30 build upon the producers original 10 to 13 year CRP contract by enrolling eligible acres for water quality practices over a 30 year period. Producers with CRP contracts expiring this September interested in signing up for CLEAR30 should do so by August 6th through their local FSA offices.
