We’re roughly four weeks into 2017, and if you made any New Year’s resolutions, hopefully, you’re sticking with those.  And while some of the most popular goals revolve around eating better, exercising more, and getting into better shape, the Better Business Bureau is warning to not ignore your on-line health.  The BBB’s Kirstin Davis told the Washington Ag Network your device will help you with your cyber fitness.

“Always update your software regularly.  I know it can be annoying when you’re trying to log off your computer, and you’ve got to do all of these updates.  But know that all of those updates, that is increasing the security, there’s always some additional security measure in there as well, and that’s to your benefit."

Davis also says it’s important to make sure your router is secure as well.  And when it comes to passwords, don’t go with a work and a few numbers, use a sentence or phrase to help create a complex password, keeping your accounts safe.  And while it can make life easy Davis advises against using the same password for multiple accounts.
