After several bands of snow showers, the Inland Northwest braces for another round of arctic air. Temperatures are expected to drop into the single digits again, Wednesday into the weekend.  Dennis Hull with the National Weather Service said breezy conditions could become a problem for livestock producers starting Wednesday evening.

“Are going to be causing a little bit of a problem for livestock, you know newborn animals or weak livestock, there could be some wind-chill there.  And there’s going to be some wind-chill wen the artic air really gets entrenched.”

Hull said if  is there’s any benefit of the colder temperatures, it will remain dry, which means transporting product should be a bit easier.  He added there is reason for optimism.

“This cold weather will moderate early next week, and temperatures might actually get close to normal, for the early to middle portion of next week, so that’s something to look forward to.”
