U.S. Apple Association has issued its sixth report on the 2018 apple crop.  According to Fruit Growers News, this year’s fresh apple holdings on April 1st, totaled 51.2 million bushels, 12% less year over year.  Processing holdings totaled 20.9 million bushels, a 13% year over year drop.

 

The total number of apples in storage on April 1st, 2019, was 72.1 million bushels, 12% less than last April’s total of 82.1 million bushels and 4% below the five-year average for that date.
