There are many ways to tell the story of Northwest agriculture.  One of those ways, was the inspiration of a new Social Media campaign.  Sue Tebow runs agri.CULTURE, which is focused on sharing the lives of local farmers through a photo and simple story.  Tebow says her pages have resonated with many across the Northwest and beyond because it’s so simple.

“It’s the photo and the story, that that person has to tell, who better to tell the story of the farmers then the farmers themselves.”

Tebow noted this helps move ag’s story to a younger and more mobile consumer.

“They are honest, hardworking people who don’t know what a timeclock is.  They can read the stories, they are working from daylight to dark, they do what they do, they finish the job, they don’t go on vacation, they love the work.”

Congratulations to Tebow, who recently won the 2017 Charles Eastin Outstanding Service Award, for her efforts to increase public awareness of ag's vital role in society.  She will travel to Washington D.C. in the coming months to receive her award.
