Controlling weed seed is the first step for a cleaner, direct seed field, and can decrease the impact to herbicide resistance issues.  On Thursday, May 11th, Drew Lyon, WSU Crop and Soil Scientist, along with a trio of researchers from Australia will host a seminar on the new technology and strategies for harvest weed seed control in Australia.

The seminar will take place from 11 a.m. to noon in Johnson Hall on the Pullman campus.  Australia has over 90% adoption of no-till and in recent years, the nation has seen an increased pressure of herbicide resistant weeds.

For questions, or to register for the seminar: Contact Drew Lyon at drew.lyon@wsu.edu or call (509) 335-2961.
