According to NASS, All Wheat Stock numbers in storage increased 14% year over year.

 

In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 92.3 million bushels, up from the 82.9 million bushels reported March 1st, 2018.  Off-farm stocks were up 12%, while on-farm stocks were up 7% compared to this time last year.  In Oregon, all wheat positions totaled 24.2 million bushels, up 1.6 million bushels from last year.  Off-farm stocks were down 4%, while on-farm stocks were up 100% compared to 2018.  Meanwhile, in Idaho, all wheat stored in all positions totaled 48.9 million bushels, up from last year’s 40.2 million.  Off-farm stocks were up 13%, while on-farm stocks were up 35% compared to last year.  Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 1.59 billion bushels, an increase of 90 million bushels up from 1.50 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 1%, while on-farm stocks were up 42% compared to the previous year.

 

Barley stocks in all positions on March 1st, 2019 totaled 35.1 million bushels in Idaho, up from 35.0 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 10%, while on-farm stocks were down 14% compared to the previous year.  In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 762,000 bushels, up from 640,000 bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 40%, while on-farm stocks were down 12% compared to the previous year.  Meanwhile, in Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 3.55 million bushels, up from 2.84 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 35%, while on-farm stocks were down 21% compared to the previous year.  Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 121 million bushels, down from 130 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 8 %, while on-farm stocks were down 5% compared to the previous year.

 

Oats stored in off-farm locations in Oregon as of March 1st, 2019, totaled 309,000 bushels, down from 360,000 bushels a year ago. In Washington, oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 62,000 bushels, up from 44,000 bushels the previous year. In Idaho, oats in storage totaled 100,000 bushels, down from 124,000 bushels a year ago. Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 50.2 million bushels, down from 54.9 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 15%, while on-farm stocks were up 5% compared to the previous year.

 

Corn stored in off-farm locations on March 1, 2019 totaled 8.74 million bushels in Idaho. In Washington, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 11.3 million bushels, down 34% from a year ago. Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 8.60 billion bushels, down from 8.89 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 11% from 2018, while on-farm stocks were up 3% compared to the previous year.
