The Washington Association of Wine Grape Grower will be holding their annual convention beginning Tuesday, though it will be the last as WAWGG.

That’s because the Association will reveal a new name and logo Tuesday night according to Sara Cornell.

“We’re excited to announce a new name that better reflects our service to both growers and vintners in the industry as well as our partners in the industry.”

The event will focus on the state of the industry, tasting rooms, business operations, small wineries, a trade show with nearly 200 vendors and workshops in both Spanish and English.

Cornell said there are multiple benefits to attending the convention.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to step away from your daily routine and take in some knowledge and some information that you can really go back to your business and apply practically.”

Cornell said this is also an excellent opportunity for grape growers, winemakers and others in the industry to network with each other and discuss what’s going on.

Tickets can be purchased at the door with everything kicking off at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick Tuesday, February 7th at 7:45 in the morning.
