We are less than two weeks away from the 2nd Annual PNW Agie at TRAC in Pasco.  One of the most notable additions this year, the Washington State Farm Hall, taking place Thursday November 9th.  Chis Cargill with the Washington Policy Center said the Farm Hall, originally started by state Senators Sharon Brown and Judy Warnick, serves as a great venue to discuss all aspects of ag in one location.

“So the wheat commission, the potato commission, I mean all of these different commissions, and we’re not going to have all 30 of them of course be in one location but we’re sure going to have a boat load of them.”

The State Farm Hall has grown in popularity every year, and with the TRAC the new venue, more people can attend to discuss the future of Northwest agriculture.  Cargill told the Washington Ag Network this will be an excelent opportunity to discuss the upcoming  Washington legislative session.  He added since Washington lawmakers have addressed McCleary, now topics like Hirst and others can take center stage.

“Now the focus kind of shifts back to other issues and ag is one of those other issues that legislators are going to start focusing on now.  And so, I think you’ll start to see legislators really start to take a focus at those ag issues that quite frankly have probably been neglected for the past couple of years.”
