The USDA is out with its first meat export forecast of 2020.  World Ag Outlook Board Chair Seth Meyer said they expect beef exports to be up year over year.

“There’s a little bit of weakness now, but seeing some strength that comes back in the latter half of 2019 and into 2020.”

 

Meyer said the expectation is similar for the pork market, with exports expected to tick higher in the later portion of this year.  Meyer added the USDA expects broiler exports will increase into 2020 as well.  So, the take away is that all meat categories will see increases as we move from 2019 to 2020.
