The 2018 USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum is just around the corner.  And the two day event is expected to be big.

 

"We have the Secretary of Agricultural joining us, this will be his first year in attendance so we are really excited about that," said Seth Meyer, with the World Agricultural Outlook.

 

World Agricultural Outlook Board Chair Seth Meyer talking about Secretary Sonny Perdue's key-note address which takes place the Thursday morning opening session of the forum set for next month.   There will also be a speech from the 2017 World Food Prize Laureate.

 

"He has been a real proponent for technology and closing the productivity gap in Africa, as a way to both improve incomes and improve food security," said Meyer.

 

The 20-18 forum's overlying theme is the "Roots of Prosperity." The Forum will run February 22nd and 23rd.  To learn more, visit the USDA's Website.
