Sustainable Ag Research Marks 30 Years

The USDA's Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program celebrated a big anniversary on Tuesday.

"Congratulations to all of you for the work that you have done to move sustainable agriculture research and education forward over the last 30 years, and for the work that you will do over the next 30 years to really move the needle and help us succeed, “ said Ag Deputy Secretary Steven Senske.

He added during a celebration in St. Louis that collaboration is an essential part of advancing sustainable ag practices and successful outcomes from both resource conservation and profitability standpoints.

"This program is completely dependent on the farmers, the ranchers, the researchers, the nongovernmental organizations, the educators, the industry professionals, that are so responsible for coming up with the research ideas, the research projects, and then helping to guide them through every step of the way."
