The 2025 sugarbeet harvest is underway, not only in the Northwest, but across the nation.  USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey said as of Sunday the 14th, 8% of the national crop had been harvested, which is on par with the five-year average, and one point ahead of last year as this time.

“All four top producers showing some harvest progress ranging from 3% in Idaho, that's two points behind the five-year average of 5%, all the way up to 11% complete in North Dakota, one point ahead of average," Rippey said.

He added nice weather across the Northwest and the northern Plains has helped with harvest.  And that nice weather, at least in the Northwest, is expected to continue through this week.
