Showers Continue In Coming Week
After a wild weekend of weather, it appears the cold wet weather is here to stay. Dennis Hull with the National Weather Service says most of Central Washington received over a ½” of rain over the weekend, with areas near Yakima recording 2” of rain. Hull said the anticipation is the clouds and showers will linger for several more days.
“Looks like still another week of unsettled weather, however, the storms don’t look as quite as intense so, we’re not looking for as much rain and not as much wind either.”
Hull says the region could see between a ¼” and ½” of rain over the coming days. And with temperatures expected to remain in the 60s for daytime highs and lows in the 40s, he says local pasture lands, wheat and canola fields will be active.
