Secretary Sonny Perdue, in his re-organization of the USDA, is looking to combine the Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service and Risk Management Agency under one banner.

Perdue said this could make things easier for producers who would have one location to apply and participate in several USDA programs.

“And as we work more closely together, co-located in many places, then a producer can take benefit of another program here that they may not even ask about and introduce them to the specialists in that area.”

This would eliminate the need to fill out multiple applications for an FSA program, crop insurance, CRP, etc.
