The 2020 winter wheat harvest is nearly complete nationwide. USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey said 95% of this year's crop has been harvested. While that figure is slightly behind the five year average, it is ahead of where we were this time last year. Those locations that are not where they should be for this time of year are here in the Northwest.

"There are only three states that have not reached the 90% mark for winter wheat harvest, those being all in the north: Idaho, Montana, and Washington," Rippey said. "All are 83 or 82% harvested.  They're all a bit behind schedule, but the weather has been favorable for harvest over the past couple of weeks."
