Washington State University will demonstrating pruning techniques that can improve pear blocks, as well as showcase how techniques used by high-density orchards can help standard-sized orchards.

The event will be led by Dr. Stefano Musacchi and he will demonstrate tying, spreading and other ways to move away from loppers; simple branches, keeping branches headed up; and controlling the tops of trees in later years.

The event takes place in Tonasket on January 10th with everyone meeting at the Junction gas station at 10:30.
