Oregon State University’s Ken Johnson, Professor in the College of Agricultural Sciences will participate in a webinar Wednesday, focused on the effective use of non-antibiotic controls and biopesticides for Fire Blight control.  Wednesday’s event is part of a national research project on Fire Blight involving Oregon, Washington, California, Michigan, North Carolina and New York.

This week’s event, hosted by Michigan State, is the 2nd in a four-part series.  School officials says these events are targeted towards growers, managers, researchers, and other industry professionals looking to keep up to date on Fire Blight and how to manage it effectively.

For each webinar (approximately one hour), one pesticide update credit will be available with Oregon Department of Agriculture, Washington state Department of Agriculture, as well as the department of Ag in Michigan and New York.
