The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife one confirmed wolf depredation, and the possibility of another.

On Sunday, ODFW was called out to two dead llamas in Jackson County.  The llamas were found just 50 yards away from the rancher’s home.  Investigators say they found bite marks on the llamas consistent with dogs or wolves, but could not confirm what killed the llamas.

Then on Monday, investigators were called to the Logan Valley area of Grant County where a four-month old, 300 pound calf had been attacked.  ODFW said the calf had multiple puncture wounds to its rear legs, and has identified this as a depredation.

On Tuesday, crews were called to the Howard Butte area of Wallowa County where a nine-month old 700 pound calf was found dead.  The hunters that found the calf reported seeing five, possibly six wolves about 100 yards from the carcass.  ODFW said despite the wolves witnessed by the hunters, it does not appear the Tuesday calf was a depredation.
