The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife confirmed another wolf depredation in NE Oregon last week.  ODFW confirmed a 350 pound calf was found injured in the Reagin Gulch area of Wallowa County.  The calf was reportedly found on private pasture land with bite marks and other injuries on the hind legs.  ODFW said the size, number and locations of the bite injuries are similar to injuries observed in calves attacked by wolves.  The calf was taken to a veterinarian for examination.

While individual wolves have been documented, there is no known in that portion of Wallowa County.
