Haven’t Filled Out Your Survey? Expect A Call From NASS

NASS has two surveys out right now, and if the agency hasn’t heard from farmers and producers, "NASS will soon start calling producers who have not returned their surveys,” said NASS Administrator Joseph Parsons.

Parson added phone follow-ups on the Organic Survey are already underway, and phone follow-ups for the Local Foods Marketing Practices Survey begins on Thursday April 2nd.

“Both of these surveys allow data users insight into food markets that are not commonly surveyed and permit greater insight from farmers. buyers, and policymakers about important marketing channels for U.S. farmers,” he said.

Parsons added the phone reminders for survey response are for eligible farmers and ranchers who received either or both surveys by mail.  Farmers and ranchers are encouraged to respond either online or by returning that survey in the mail.  Secure online response to surveys is conducted on NASS’ Website.
