Newhouse: Relationship with WSU Will Help Washington Wine Industry Grow

The Washington Wine Industry enjoys a very close relationship with Washington State University, thanks primarily to the Wine Science Center and Viticulture and Enology program headquartered in the Tri-Cities.  Washington Winegrower’s Todd Newhosue said the partnership helps beyond the vineyard.

“That’s going to be a big reason why the world is going to know about us, because we’re going to have a first rate world class educational component in place, and WSU is excited about it and we’re really excited about it as well.”

Newhouse told the Washington Ag Network, much like the Ag industry as a whole, the Wine industry must improve outward education and communication efforts with the non-ag community.

“That’s where industry collaboration comes big into play because we all have to be saying the same message and be on the same page.”
