Does high-yielding wheat equal high-quality wheat?

Does high-yielding wheat equal higher profitability?

Can potassium levels in wheat grain be increased to help combat heart disease in Americans?

The National Wheat Foundation Board hopes to answer those three questions in a trio of new projects approved at the organization’s annual meeting last week. According to NWB the projects were selected after a series of strategic planning meetings with industry stakeholders.

“It is important to listen to industry leaders and align our projects for grower success and profitability as well as success across the entire wheat chain,” notes David Cleavinger, Chairman, National Wheat Foundation.

Action on the projects will begin promptly with the establishment of a task force to guide the process.
