USDA's Ted McKinney, acknowledged part of the USMCA-related discussions were involved existing U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs in place, and what it may mean in advancing the deal towards final approval.

 

"I think a lot of people hope for those to be removed, and the sooner the better. And that process rests with our friends at USTR and the U.S. Agriculture, there continues to be encouragement that those be removed as these whole things go along."
