Lind breaks Snow Record

Lind, home of the WSU Dryland Research Station broke a 100 year record this winter.  The Adams County location snapped its record for having the longest streak of snow covered says since school officials started keeping record in the early 20^th century.  Starting Dec. 6, snow blanketed the ground for 76 consecutive days, nearly a week longer than the previous record set twice in the mid-1980’s. (1984-86).

The region gets an average of 9.56 inches of precipitation each year.
