Fuel prices across the Northwest continue to inch higher.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of diesel is $2.54, a one cent increase from last week, Oregon’s average increased three cents to $2.80, while Washington’s rate jumped five cents to $2.93 a gallon.  Marie Dodds told the Washington Ag Network the may issue pushing diesel prices higher are the low oil stocks being reported along the west coast right now.

“Our inventory is at about 26 million barrels a day, which is the lowest level we’ve seen in this region this year so far.  So, that high demand is sending gas and diesel prices a bit higher.”

What impact will Hurricane Harvey have on fuel prices here locally?

“We won’t be seeing a huge impact at all from Harvey here.”

Here are some of the lowest diesel prices we could find across in the Inland Northwest:

  • $2.89 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $2.76 a gallon in the Tri Cities
  • $2.74 a gallon in Yakima
  • $2.75 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.79 a gallon in Quincy
  • $2.71 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.65 a gallon in Pendleton
