Kennewick’s farmers market returned downtown in early June after spending the past few years at the Southridge Sports Complex.

Market Manager Felicia Darwen said they’ve been adding vendors every week.

“It’s been a really amazing experience to see the support that we’re getting from the community and every week has just gotten better and better.”

Darwen said the farmers are also enjoying the market and their experience there.

As with every market, there is a lot of adjustment throughout the year as Darwen noted that many of the early season fruits are gone.

“For example we don’t have blueberries any more cause blueberries are out of season, but then we’re getting more vendors coming in and we’ll probably see more of a craft fair coming towards the end of the season.”

Darwen has begun making her plans for next season and hopes to expand enough to have vendors on Kennewick Avenue.
