Italy has announced a new rule that pasta packages must say where the wheat comes from.
Pasta packages sold in supermarkets like this one will soon be labeled with where the wheat in them comes from.

Roberto Moncalvo is head of Italy's biggest agricultural organization, Coldiretti. He says the labeling will help boost the demand for Italian wheat in a slumping market.

"Italian pasta producers have to say, my durum wheat in this pasta box is from Canada, is from USA."

Wheat producers outside Italy are worried sales to the pasta-loving nation will drop.
