The G.S. Long Hell on Hooves Rough Stock Initational Rodeo will be at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee Friday and Saturday, May 12th and 13th.

Wayne Wright with Wild West Events said rodeo has a unique place amongst American sports and entertainment.

“It’s the only sport that has originated from a lifestyle. In the early days, the guy who was really the hero on the ranch was the bronc stomper, the guy who took the horses and he had to break them to become horses that they could actually use on the ranch. That’s how it’s derived.”

The event will include Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Mutton Bustin’, Mechanical Bull, Dancing Horses, Pony Rides and much more.

Wright compared it to people who enjoy watching NASCAR.

“They go to see the race, but they get really excited when they see the wrecks. We’ve got one every eight seconds.”

Tickets can be purchased at Town Toyota Center or online at TownToyotaCenter.com.
