FFA students have until Friday, April 28th to get their scholarship applications for a $1,500 scholarship that’s part of the Hell on Hooves event in Wenatchee.

Wayne White with Wild West Events said when the event was created, Gary Long wanted to find a way to give back to the community as well.

“We believe that if you have that ability to have somebody and keep somebody in agriculture, it’s really important.”

The scholarship is open to FFA students in North Central Washington and will be handed out during Hell on Hooves May 12th and 13th.

White said encouraging kids in agriculture is important for our future.

“In a lot of places like on the western side of the mountains, there are a lot of places where FFA, 4H, anything to do with ag is going away. If you don’t have agriculture, people starve.”

Print out a copy of the scholarship here, and then follow the instructions to make sure you are applied.
