Give FFA Day Is This Week
This is National FFA Week, and to mark the occasion, the blue and gold will hold their 10th Annual Give FFA Day on Thursday. Kimberly Coveney, senior manager for individual giving at the National FFA Foundation, says Give FFA Day is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of more than one million members nationwide.
“It's really an opportunity for individuals in the ag sector, friends of FFA, those who believe in youth leadership education, to chip in what they can give, and together we have a huge impact.”
Coveney said while their national goal is $1.5 million, it’s the smaller gifts of $20, $25, $50 goes a long way to hitting that goal. She added this is a great way to ensure the next generation of ag leaders will be ready to change the world.
“Donors can designate the funds to support various programs in FFA," Coveney said. "Of course, it's always helpful to have donations come in to support the overall mission. Unrestricted funds that allow us to direct money where it's needed most and that could be anything from providing resources for Ag education teachers in the classroom, to assisting students who need financial support to get to FFA events and programs.”
Coveney added during the 24 hours of giving on February 20th donations can easily be made on the FFA’s Website. By the way, there are 52 FFA associations across the county.
