Idaho, Oregon FFA Members Running For National Office

Forty FFA members, including two from the Northwest, have earned the opportunity to run for national office at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo this October. Oregon's Olivia "Livvy" Sturm and Idaho’s Joshua Nelson will compete against 38 other young agriculturalists from across the country for 2026-27 National FFA Office.

National FFA said this achievement reflects the dedication each individual has to FFA and agriculture and serves as an important step in their leadership development. The organization added the path to becoming a national officer is highly competitive.

Each state FFA association may nominate one member each year, and those candidates then move through a rigorous interview process led by the National FFA Officer Nominating Committee. The committee, this year made up of nine students, is responsible for interviewing candidates and selecting the national officer team.
