Fuel prices continue their upward trend, both nationally and across the Northwest.  The national average for a gallon of diesel increased four cents over the holiday weekend, to $3.21, the Washington average increased three cents a gallon to $3.56, while Oregon’s price shot up to $3.41, a three cent per gallon increase.  International issues, such as OPEC’s reduced production continues to push oil prices higher, in turn forcing both diesel and gasoline prices higher.  In addition, fuel reserves have been depleted worldwide, putting a strain on available fuel supplies.

As far as the lowest local prices are concerned:

  • $3.44 a gallon in Pasco
  • $3.56 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $3.40 a gallon in Quincy
  • $3.45 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $3.39 a gallon in Yakima
  • $3.49 a gallon in Ephrata
  • $3.35 a gallon in Pendleton
  • $3.45 a gallon in Moses Lake
