All eyes of the Inland Northwest Ag community to focus on Pasco Thursday evening, for the Washington Policy Center’s “Farm To Free Market” dinner.

“We want to talk about how do we make it easier for farmers to farm, we at Washington Policy Center support a free market policy, so trying to let market work best because we think they do a much better job than government does, a  lot of time,"said the WPC's Madi Clark.  "Not to say we need to get rid of all regulation, but let’s scale it back and make it a little bit smaller.”

Clark told the Washington Ag Network the gathering will focus on the 2018 Farm Bill being debated in Washington D.C.  Eastern Washington representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers will be one of the keynote speakers at Thursday’s dinner.  Also speaking will be Maurice McTigue, a former cabinet minister and member of the New Zealand parliament

“Who let them away from subsidies in the 1980’s.  So, we want to start that discussion both him and Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers will be speaking individually and then we’ll have a question and answer at the very end.  So, the audience will be able to ask those questions of ‘where do we go from here?’”

Tickets for Thursday’s dinner are still available.   To learn more check out the WCP's Website.
