According to the Animal Agriculture Alliance, the message at this year’s Farm Animal Rights Conference in Alexandria, VA was to eliminate all human exploitation of animals including farm animals.

Kay Johnson Smith, Alliance president and CEO said, “The speakers at this year’s Animal Rights National Conference made their goals clear – ending all forms of animal agriculture, regardless of how well animals are cared for.”

According to a report by the Alliance, speakers reportedly advocated illegal activities as sometimes necessary along with pressuring restaurants, retail and food service brands to eliminate the sales of animal products.

The speakers also reportedly are no longer targeting only what they call “factory farms,” but any farm of any size noting that all farms are equally cruel.
