Family forests are vital to the economy and quality of life in across the Northwest, supporting wildlife habitat, timber production, scenic quality, and much more. To help forest land owners keep those lands healthy and prosperous, an on-line workshop will be held Friday.

Washington State University and the University of Idaho Extension Foresters will host the free 2021 Online Family Foresters Workshop January 22nd. This one day event will feature experts from state and federal agencies as well as the academic world sharing the latest information, technology, and skills in stewarding private lands. Forest land owners can learn about a variety of topics including economics, aerial drones, diseases and pests, predator habitat, fire and smoke, camera trapping, pollinators, and more.

Educational and professional credits are available. The workshop runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (PST) and will be held via Zoom.
