Fabreo Expo Continues to Move In The Right Direction
Only in its third year, leaders with the Fabreo Expo feel the food trade show is moving in the right direction. Last month’s event was pared down in many aspects, but TRIDEC’s Gary White said lean and mean did a better job meeting the needs of new and startup producers. White noted he’s comfortable where they are three years into the expo.
“So all and all, I think we’re making process. It’s a different event than it was in 2015 when we did the first one, but I think we are better focused. We have a better understanding of the industry and that’s one of the big challenges. It’s a multi-faceted industry with multiple layers.”
White added to grow in the futures, he wants to see Fabreo continue to reach out to smaller mom-and-pop organizations across the entire Northwest. He told the Washington Ag Network while the event is held in Tri Cities, he’s confident the impact will be larger.
“We can be the artisan or the specialty food center of the Pacific Northwest at least and that’s the portion of the market that we’re seeing the largest growth in. There seems to be a real interest in young companies finding a home, if you will.”
Like any startup event, White sid in the coming year’s he’d like to see participation increase.
