Duvall Agriculture Must Have A United Message
Unity among agriculture organizations was one of the topics discussed this week at the National Association of State Directors of Agriculture in Lincoln, Nebraska. American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall, told the state ag directors the need continues for more unity among farm organizations when conveying agriculture's message.
“What we need to do is bring our unity together before we go to Capitol Hill. You know, everyone goes with their message, whether it be port or corn or beef, or whatever it might be. You know, we need to have some understanding together before we go up there with one voice.”
Duvall said without the unity, the ag industry confuses lawmakers. He encouraged commodity groups to look broader than just their respective commodities and think about how we can keep agriculture as a whole healthy.
