Drought Continues To Spread Across Northwest

Drought conditions continue to spread across the Northwest.  The latest number from the USDA show over 80% of the state is in a Moderate Drought designation; an over 20 point jump from this time last week.  And 25%

of the state, stretching from Bend to the Idaho border, is under the Severe, or D2, drought designation.  The only section of Oregon not considered dry for this time of year is northern Umatilla, Union and Wallowa counties.

In Washington, 25% of the state is considered in a Moderate Drought, most of that is on the westside of the Cascades.
