Oil prices have taken a bit of a hit over the past couple of days, as investors have sold stocks in New York.  With that dip, oil prices have eased slightly to around $64  a barrel, down roughly $1 in the past couple days.  Despite that gas prices have moved higher.  However diesel prices have decreased recently.  Patrick DaHaan with GasBuddy said you can thank Mother Nature for that decrease.

“[We’re] seeing a little bit of a dip in demand, not only that but as we progress toward spring, warmer temperatures should contribute the supply of those heavier fuels increasing  ”

Looking at the coming weeks, DeHaan told the Washington Ag Network he expects a more noticeable different of gas prices going up and diesel prices going down.  As far as the current diesel prices are concerned, the National Average held steady at $2.99 a gallon, while Washington’s average was unchanged at $3.19, and Oregon’s average decreased a cent to $3.08 a gallon.

Here are the lowest lower diesel prices we could find across the Inland Northwest:

  • $3.03 a gallon in the Tri-Cities
  • $3.18 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $2.99 a gallon in Yakima
  • $2.99 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.99 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.99 a gallon in Pendleton
