As we say goodbye to February, diesel prices continue to hold steady.  According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of diesel head steady at $2.51 a gallon, Washington’s average for a gallon of diesel increased one cent this week to $2.86, Oregon’s was unchanged at $2.67.

Marie Dodds with AAA told the Washington Ag Network crude oil prices are expected to increase in the coming days, for several reasons, domestically.  But also, OPEC and their November decision continues to weigh on the minds of investors and consumers.

“We found that the OPEC countries, and a few of the non-OPEC countries as well are in compliance by about 90%.  That was a little bit better than a lot of market watchers were expecting.  But, will they continue to have such high compliance? Only time will tell.”

Here are some of the lowest diesel prices we could find across the Inland Northwest:

  • $2.75 a gallon in the Tri Cities
  • $2.66 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.65 a gallon in Yakima
  • $2.79 a gallon in Quincy
  • $2.73 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.77 a gallon in Walla Walla
