This is typically the time of year, when oil prices move higher as demand increases as more and more Americans plan to hit the road during the summer driving season, which runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  However, this year, crude oil prices continue to soften, which is pushing Diesel prices lower.

The national average for a gallon of diesel slipped two cents in the past week to $2.50, Washington’s average ticked down one cent to $2.87 a gallon, while Oregon’s rate held steady at $2.69 a gallon.  As far as local prices are concerned, here are some of the lowest rates across the Inland Northwest:

  • $2.67 a gallon in the Tri Cities
  • $2.69 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.78 a gallon in Walla Walla
  • $2.68 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $2.79 a gallon in Quincy
  • $2.75 a gallon in Yakima
  • $2.56 a gallon in Pendleton
